Football Wolf - A Mascot Quilt Pattern for all ages

3 sizes: Main instruction is for 36x42 crib size, with additional measurements for 24x28 and 48x56.
Using the largest size make a great stadium blanket, or with additional borders fit a twin bed. The Baby Quilt size is a great way to wrap up your future football star. Support your favorite team from pee-wee to professional.

Skill Level : Beginning quilters. All straight cutting, and straight seams.

The pattern first uses a chart with the given number of strips to be cut for each color. Second, it has a set of charts with piece lengths to be cut and labeled from those strips. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles, or the “snowball method” where a sew line is drawn corner to corner on a square and place on top of another square or rectangle. Once those squares are marked you follow a full-page color labeled image of the quilt, assembling piece by piece, row by row. Round eyes are ironed-on or applique.

This Football Wolf Quilt is a variation of my mascots. The first one we made with the Washington Huskies in mind I have some family members who went there. You can see in the additional pictures how I quilted baby's name in the end-zone and used Dad's favorite number 4 on the jersey for nephew. As a custom alteration for a baby being born in 2015 so grandma decided to put a 15 on the jersey and lightened the colors. Playing with colors makes this quilt not just good for Husky fans, but Wolves, and other dog mascots as well. I do have a bulldog specifically since that is a very common dog mascot.
