This adorable Giraffe Quilt Pattern is perfect for a Safari / Jungle themed nursery. It was designed for my nephew, but giraffes are great for boy or girl, making it good for the little surprises too. Or you grandmas to be stocking up early.

3 sizes: Main instruction is for the Crib 36x42, with additional 24x28 and 48x56.
The 3 sizes give you some flexibility in the creations process. If you have already found cute fabric with lions, elephants, and giraffes, then you can do a smaller image and border with that fabric. Maybe your little one isn't so little anymore the large size is great for toddlers, or border a large for a twin bed.

Skill Level: Beginner

The pattern lists fabric yardage, then uses charts to show the number of strips to cut, and the number of pieces to cut from those strips. The entire top is then sewn using straight 1/4" seams. The shaping is done with quick corner triangles, also called the snowball method. Once these square are marked, you will assemble the quilt top row by row following a full page labeled color image of the giraffe.

Story: This is one of my early quilts designed for a family member. My sister-in-law wanted a cute baby giraffe for my nephew. The featured quilt was sewn and quilted by my mother, and given as her traditional Grandma Baby Blanket. The sun is a great place to add that personal touch with baby's name or birth date, she always like to add that personal touch.
