A great pattern for beginning quilters. All straight cutting, and straight seams. The instructions include fabric yardage, cutting instructions, triangle tips, sewing instructions, and basic finishing instruction.

The pattern lists fabric yardage, then uses charts to show the number of strips to cut for each color, and the number of pieces to cut from those strips. The shaping is done with quick corner half square triangles.Once those are marked you will follow a full-page color image of the quilt top alphabetically labeled for easy pieced row by row assembly. All straight cutting, and all straight sewing perfect for a beginner, or as a weekend project for you pros.

This was originally designed as a custom order for a grandma looking for something to make her grandson. She said he loves ice cream. I think this was made as a large lap quilt for him, but I can see it as a fun wall hanging quilt in a kitchen.
