This fun Pirate and his parrot pal are a quilt your little matey will treasure for a life time. There are many colors in this pattern which means smaller fabric yardage per color, making it a great quilt for scraps.

The pattern comes with instructions for 3 sizes: Wall 24"x28", Crib 36"x42", and Lap 48"x56" . With the multiple sizes this quilt is a great one for baby or add pirate borders and make it for a toddler or even twin bed.

Skill Level: Beginner. If you can sew a true 1/4 inch seam you can put this quilt top together. All Straight Cutting, All Straight Seams

The pattern uses a chart for how many strips to cut. Then another set of charts giving the length of the pieces from those strips. The shaping is done using quick corner triangles, or the "snowball method". Once the pieces are cut you follow a full page color picture or "map" alphabetically labeled as you assemble the quilt row by row.
When the top is complete, you add some accent lines with ribbon or quilting for those finishing touches. I added a patch to the hat for fun.
