School House Quilt Pattern - 3 Sizes - PDF

This traditional red school house design has been suggested a few times, and has finally been put into a pattern. Great for showing support to a retired teacher, or as a wall hanging in an at home preschool. You can add details with quilting that will really make this image special.

Strip cut and Pieced (not paper piecing)

My patterns are made in a stripped and pieced method great for beginners. I use charts for the cutting instructions. First, with the yardage and given number of strips to cut for each color fabric. Second, a set of charts giving the cross-cut lengths for the pieces, each label alphabetically. Then you will follow a full page labeled color image of the quilt top.

The shaping is done with half square triangles in the quick corner method. The entire top is sewn with straight 1/4" seams. There are some helpful videos on YouTube for those need assistance here.

Sizes

This pattern comes with 3 sizes. The main instruction is for a 36x42 inch image, with additional pages for 24x28 which is great for a small wall hanging, or 48x56 a perfect lap quilt.
